I’m always looking for ways to improve planning my work week. I have found playing around with my schedule freshens up my productivity and increases forward momentum.
In this episode, I’m chatting about the new weekly schedule that I’m currently workshopping. I’ll go through each day with you and share why I’ve assigned each task to the respective day. I have found this to be really helpful and productive and I can’t wait to share it with you.
Now I know that not everybody works the same way I do, so I’ll provide you with other options you can use to plan out your week.
This method structures my week and increases my focus. Best of all, it prevents me from worrying about when I’ll actually have time to do tasks because everything is already planned for. I would love for you to try it out (or a version of it) in your own business and let me know how you go!
Topics we discussed:
[1:16]: My latest review on Apple Podcasts by Sara Jade from SJ&Co. Find her on Instagram @sjandco.au
[3:04]: Playing around with our schedule can freshen things up and create forward momentum. I enjoy having dedicated spots for specific tasks in my business.
[4:05]: Thursdays were my days to record Podcast interviews. Wednesdays were the day to do group coaching calls in my programs. The rest of my week was flexible.
[5:18]: Now I have broken down my week. Mondays are currently set up to take private client coaching calls. Tuesdays are called my ‘growth’ day. Wednesdays are ‘continuous improvement days’. Thursdays are for social media content. Fridays are flexible days.
[8:34]: Because I have dedicated days, I find that I get a lot done and it stops me from worrying about when I will do tasks. I use Trello for the different days with my team.
[10:25]: This may not work for you. You might find that scheduling parts of the day work well (instead of the entire day). Or you may schedule the month into weeks (instead of days). Or you might have an overarching theme for the entire month.
[11:20]: Look at the big parts of your business: client work, upskilling, sales and marketing etc. Enter these into the days/weeks/months and experiment.
[12:05]: Let me know if you have found anything that really works for you!
