Simple and Easy Ways to Bring More Money into your Business Now
I’ve been having some discussions with the few women in my private community about some easy, no stress, ways to bring more money right away in their business.
Sometimes, the opportunities are there, but we over complicate things, thinking that we need to create a totally new offer or product.
Well that’s not the case! With some smart and simple messaging and marketing, you can give your venue a boost, like, right now!
1. Adding a Higher Price Option
Now number one, whatever packages that you currently have, I want you to actually add a higher priced option. So for instance, if you have let’s say two different packages or two different prices for your services, then I want you to go ahead and add a third option that is a higher priced option.
You might find this hard to believe, but actually having a higher price option can be more attractive for a segment of the market. There is such a thing as people looking at your prices and thinking, “oh it can’t be that good if it’s only that much”.
And also particularly for people who are more advanced in business or people who want to spend some money for instance on a gift or that type of thing, they are going to have a price in mind that they want to spend. So for instance, with my own program that I offer, I know the price point is a turn off for a certain segment of the market because it’s not enough that they want to spend for their business.
And for me, I probably wouldn’t invest in something that’s a couple of hundred dollars or a few hundred dollars I am ready and I want to spend more money because there is an association that it’s going to get me quicker results, it’s going to be more in depth; that it’s going to be basically a quicker solution or more advanced option to where I want to get.
So, just have a think about that and consider how can you simply just add a higher price option and start offering it to people and let them know that you’ve just added this luxury package or this high end service or whatever it might be that you add in. It’s not a whole lot of extra work for you, but you get a healthier bit of profit for your business. So I love that option. That is super easy to create.
2. Urgency
So let’s say that you put together a package that might be something that you already have. It might be something that you just tweak, zhush it up a little bit and you might say something like, “Hey, I’ve got this special package that I’m offering just until the end of spring. So I just wanted to let you know about it. You get a great saving or great bonus if you take it up.”
But you want to offer a sense of urgency that it has a deadline to it because a lot of the time people want what you have to offer and either they don’t know what you offer or they just haven’t gotten around to buying it.
So I want you to actually use this promotion to make some noise through your social media. If you have an email list, talk about it in your email list. It’s an excuse for you to get noisy and actually get into selling and marketing mode and not be passive waiting for people to come to your business. Put together a package and say, “Hey, I’ve got this special, it’s available for the next two weeks, one month, end of spring,…” whatever it might be, and put it out there.
3. Scarcity
So this one is about having a limited amount available. So again, it’s helping people actually make that decision and stop thinking about it and say, yes, I want to work with you. So for instance, you could say, “if you’ve been thinking about working with me, there’s just two spots left this month”.
It might be something like, “Hey, if you’ve been thinking about booking your wedding with me, I’ve actually only have [and then list how many spots you have available for next year] so you need to get in quick.”
If I saw that, I’d be like, “Holy Moly, I need to book this photographer!!”. So use scarcity to help people take action.
4. Previous Clients
How many clients that have worked with you, have you gone back to to see if they need some more help?
Previous clients and customers are some of the most valuable for our business. They already know us. Hopefully they had a great experience working with us and already trust us and like us, and have had great value from us.
So I want you to go back to your previous customers and clients and simply check in with them and just say, “hey, it was great working with you a few months ago” or “I hope you enjoyed this” and “just seeing if there was anything that I could help you with?”.
Now, if you want to supercharge that, I would also tell them one of the three other things that we’ve covered, so either that you have this new option available, which might be your VIP option – whatever the higher price one is, the luxury package. Let them know you have just added it and that you think it might be perfect for them, or ask if they know of someone who might be. And you can use urgency to say it’s only available until – and give a date.
Next you could use scarcity. For instance, “I’m just letting you know that if you’ve been thinking of booking in, we just have two spots left. So, just wanted to let you know about that one.”
It doesn’t take much creating anything new or putting together new web pages or anything like that. You can simply do this through some messaging and reaching out to people and making a little bit of noise on your social media.
So there you have it – some quick and easy ways to bring in some more money into your business. So go for it!
And don’t let yourself hold yourself back by thinking any of those crazy money blocks that you might have about, “I can’t charge that much” or “I don’t want to be salesy.” or “I don’t want people to think that I’m just trying to get money from them”.
You have a business, you are allowed to sell it.
So go away, make some nice, easy money for your business and I cannot wait to hear how you go. Send me a message, @emilyosmond on Instagram, I’d love to hear.
