From 0 clients to scaling as a copywriter with Anita Siek
Joining us on the podcast today is one of the most engaging and joyful women I’ve met in business so far. Her name is Anita Siek.
Anita is the founder of the content, communications, and copywriting studio Wordfetti, host of the popular podcast Brandfetti and woman behind the bright and fun Instagram feed @anitasiek.
Anita followed an extremely nontraditional path to copy-writing. She was a Lawyer (with a degree in Social and Organisational Psychology) who fell in love with words and how the choices of them trigger different emotions and ideas in a reader.
What began as a side-gig while juggling her Corporate role has today, turned into her full-time gig.
In this episode, Anita shares:
Why Anita realised it was a paycheck or her mental health
How long exactly it took Anita to attract her very first client (we’re talking months!)
How her first client found her (and her biggest advice for others to do the same)
What Anita was earning in her side hustle when she quit her job
And how long it took Anita to tell her mum she’d done so!
What Anita had in place instead of a business plan
How she has grown her business in the past two years to now have a waitlist of clients
What Anita’s goals are now – and why they are beyond revenue goals
A breakdown of what her business now offers to clients – and what the next focus is
How she approaches and overcomes challenges
The advice she would give herself if she was starting over.
