Erotic embodiment in your business with Tamica Wilder
I’m so excited for you to listen to this episode as I speak with my incredible guest, Tamica Wilder. We share a conversation that isn’t typically had in business circles, one that is potentially confronting yet so powerful and relevant to us all.
Also known as the Orgasmic Mamma, Tamica is a Melbourne based somatic sex coach and multi-qualified therapist who has a deep passion for teaching humans to reattune to the wisdom of their bodies while giving full permission to shamelessly prioritise pleasure and play.
In this episode, we talk about Tamica’s new book, Wild Honey, which is about having full access to the spectrum of who we are as humans, unleashing all that is untamed within us as well as the soft and gentle side. Tamica talks about the importance of living from deep authenticity, breaking open patterns of shame and guilt associated with sexuality and how this translates into the way we show up in all areas of life and business.
Tamica talks about boundaries, owning our erotic bodies and what it looks like when women haven’t truly grounded in this. Tamica shares some advice on how to get started on the journey and so much more. This really is a conversation worth listening to and I hope will spark a desire to step into the core of who you really are as a fulfilled, playful and creative business owner.
TOPICS DISCUSSED AND WHERE TO FIND THEM:
[1:00]: Tamica’s bio and her new book which is written in quite a poetic way
[4:00]: How the title Wild Honey came about. It represents having full access to the spectrum of who we are as humans, unleashing all that is untamed in us.
[5:30]: We have three bodies – mental/emotional, physical and sexual. The sexual body gets left out but to be holistically healthy, we cannot exclude our sexuality.
[7:30]: Business is all about connecting with people. If we don’t have full access to our authenticity, we can’t connect to the authenticity of others.
[9:00]: We are taught fear and shame around pleasure and sexuality through social and cultural conditioning which stays with us unless we do something to face it. Eroticism gives the flow, joy and sense of spark in your life, which translates into every part of your life.
[11:00]: The erotic body is magnetic and it translates into every avenue in your life and business.
[12:00]: It’s scary to unlock parts of ourselves that we haven’t dared to explore before. We get locked into our identity and when we challenge it, it’s really confronting.
[14:25]: If you haven’t grounded your erotic body, there would likely be a lot of rigidity in your body and mind. This is hard and exhausting. The other way is soft and calming. Like concrete versus caramel.
[17:00]: How our beliefs about ourselves shape our boundaries. We are conditioned to make sure that people like us but we need to be a version of selfish, coming into the core of who we are and not being responsible for other people’s emotions.
[20:00]: Being kind, sweet and gentle is great so long as you can access your rage, take up your own space and live from the full spectrum. This makes us a more safe space for other people. They can trust that we are able to hold them because we know ourselves.
[23:00]: To get started, do some journaling to uncover your beliefs and conditioning. The Wild Honey book includes journaling prompts.
[25:00]: The work that Tamica is going to be doing moving forward including immersion experiences and one on one coaching.
[26:30]: How Tamica finds it a sore point to find people she is inspired by in her industry. She recommends some books to read.
