Being a large kitchen space, we were able to easily fit in a three-metre long bench. After moving out of a small apartment into this home, it feels extra luxe!

We chose Lithostone for all the stone surface tops across both homes. We wanted something that would hold its own against our dark joinery – the Calcutta Arabescato does just that in the kitchen, guest/downstairs powder and master ensuite. It has the purest of white backgrounds, with bold standout veins.

To complement the softer joinery in the laundry and family bathroom, we chose the Carrara Lumina, with its subtle grey veining and beautiful natural stone characteristics. Apart from looking stunning, Lithostone’s engineered stone is extremely durable and resistant to heat, stains and scratches. I was sold!

Koden and I love to sit up at the island bench in the morning with our coffees and plan out the day.

Many of our Saturdays were spent at showrooms exploring appliances!

We wanted products that were sleek, would suit our black joinery, and had a minimal design. We were recommended ASKO and we loved the aesthetic of these products.

Then we then learnt about the functionalities – and oh goodness, they are so fancy!! We were very excited to get our hands on ASKO’S brand NEW product – a market leader: the 5in1 Combi Oven! We paired this with the Combi Steam Oven.

Not long ago we hosted our first dinner party for 10 in our home. We simply selected the type of meat and its weight, and the oven did the rest – combining the right amount of steam, conventional oven and grill functions automatically.

This meant that Koden and I could actually enjoy the cheese platter and conversations!

We also selected the Duo Fusion Gas/Induction Cooktop which we love for its sleek and super fast induction option AND the irreplaceable appeal of a gas burner.

Doing the washing in here isn’t so bad! In fact, it’s rather lovely! There is so much bench space, the fantastic ASKO washer and dryer, lots of cupboards for storage, and all tucked behind a sliding door off the entrance hall to keep everything tidy and tucked away!
